about
I started this song at 2am on in late December, 2017 within the same week that i made Pale and Northbound during my first grueling couple months of sobriety.
This song symbolizes every moment of hardship that i could muster since then and now. Mental illness, home life, losing people close to me, losing myself, finding myself then losing it again. Through bad break ups and new relationships. Through late night panic episodes, moments of clarity and everything else in between.
I decided to finish this song in early June 2020 In the middle of the pandemic as the result of a very, very bad trip, 400 miles away from home. while i was standing on the beach at 1am losing my mind, this song is what kept me grounded. it was the sand that swallowed my feet keeping me close to home. I saw my first shooting star in the middle of listening to it and knew at that moment that this was MY healing song.
For years i would come back to this song to help me feel something. it is BY FAR the most meaningful thing i've ever made and im glad that i lived long enough to present it to everyone. Honestly at this point if i died id be happy knowing that i finally put this song out. I could "retire" this project at peace if i wanted to at this point. This song means that much to me.
Thank you for your patience and your presences, it really means the world man
